It drives me a bit insane.
Part Two: Lent
I’m Catholic, but I usually don’t give anything up for Lent. Then came today and I thought of the perfect thing to do without: pop culture.
So, from this point forward, no more pop culture or news. I mean, I’m allowed to watch the news, just no infotainment type programming. I’m not obsessed with pop culture, but I could stand with spending less time on it.
This means giving up TV shows like Best Week Ever, The Soup, infoMania, The Daily Show, and the Colbert Report.
This means giving up such YouTube channels as WhattheBuck, Dan Brown, sxephil, and Pop Waffle.
This means giving up certain blogs.
This even means giving up such radio shows as Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me.
That’s a lot.
I’m up for the challenge.
