Last night I had the privilege of watching my nation elect the first black president.
Wow.
More importantly, I witnessed my nation electing a President because voters thought he would lead the nation well. He happened to be black.
I watched election coverage from 4:30 to 10:00 P.M. yesterday, because the 2008 election only comes around once.
I am scared for Barack Obama. He has a lot to do and a lot to fulfill. I do not know if he can do it, but I am hopeful.
I do not know if Obama will send our country to hell in a handbasket. I do not know if he will be one of the greatest leaders our nation has seen. I am willing to find out.
It is time for us all to come together.
Let’s be a nation.
One nation.
McCain’s concession speech is one of the classiest things I have ever seen in politics. I would have voted for a man like that. It’s too bad he could not be like this for all the election.
Stay classy, America.
